Nuclear Medicine Technologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality patient care and serve as a resource in the radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients undergoing scans for diagnostic purposes.
• Operating imaging equipment to create images of various areas of the patient's body.
• Explaining the imaging procedure to patients, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.
• Monitoring patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
• Keeping detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceutical used and of the procedure.
• Following safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.

Requirements:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists / ARRT Certification
Certified by Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board / NMTCB
CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
Maryland license to practice nuclear medicine.
