Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (BSN/RN) to work in our Eastchester and Yorktown locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology and experience in administering medications. You will be responsible for creating individualized care plans, recognizing and treating cancer-related issues, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
Responsibilities:- Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
- Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
- Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
- Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
- Provide supportive resources to patients and their families to promote a positive outlook.
- Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations.
- Monitor and record patient progress on a constant basis.
- Chart patient response to treatment and medication.
- Complete MAR after treatment.
- Provide patients with discharge instructions, including emergency contact information.
- Float between our Eastchester and Yorktown locations.
- A valid RN License in the State of New York.
- At least 1 year of experience in oncology outpatient and at least 1 year of experience in administering medications.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
- Salary up to $52 per hour.
