Position Overview: LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking an Automation Test Engineer with expertise in depth sensing technologies.

Work Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite from Day 1)

Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initialize and integrate hardware, firmware, and software solutions from various vendors.
  • Create graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and testing programs to facilitate the integration of boards, sensors, and external devices for automation.
  • Design GUI applications for the analysis of test data and the generation of comprehensive test reports.
  • Collaborate with core technology teams and other departments to establish testing protocols and specifications for new prototype devices and systems.
  • Gather and interpret data according to established testing plans.

Essential Skills:

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with debugging tools including PyCharm, GitHub, and Qt Designer.
  • Experience in controlling image and depth sensors, familiar with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and MIPI.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Python with PyQT for GUI development, and DLL applications for lab instrument control and test automation.
  • Extensive experience in managing various laboratory equipment using communication protocols like RS232, USB, Ethernet, and Modbus.
  • Proficient in Matlab for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.
  • Basic understanding of direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) sensors and single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs), along with insights into depth sensor operations and performance trade-offs.
  • Fundamental knowledge of image sensor characterization.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
