Civil/Structural Drafter Job Description

Polaris Engineering is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using manual or computer-assisted drafting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality technical drawings using manual or computer-assisted drafting techniques.
  • Obtain necessary specifications, sketches, notes, and instructions to develop drawings.
  • Gather design data through surveying and consultation with team members.
  • Include necessary dimensions, details, and views in drawings to enable construction personnel to work from drawings.
  • Produce drawings that are accurate, legible, neat, and in conformity to recognized standards.
  • Review, maintain, and update project files.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all revisions.
  • Assist engineering and construction personnel in the interpretation of drawings.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in the petroleum industry sector.
  • Available for short-term travel.
  • Proficient in current design, drafting, and software packages.
  • Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of design concepts and systems.
