Job Description

At H&M, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our stores, including the sales floor, fitting rooms, and back-of-house areas.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform custodial services on sales floor, fitting rooms, and back-of-house areas.
  • Dust all counters, hard surfaces, and remove all trash and debris from the store.
  • Perform high dusting, including wiping down lighting fixtures, vents, and display areas.
  • Vacuum all carpets daily and shampoo monthly.
  • Machine scrub floors, including stripping and washing.
  • Clean elevators and escalators daily.
  • Clean all electrical rooms, LAN rooms, and security rooms weekly.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment, machine rooms, HVAC rooms, scrubbing machines, escalator cleaning machines, vacuums, and all cleaning-related equipment.
  • Ensure garbage is thrown away daily and direct it to waste management areas.
  • Perform monthly follow-up with visual team and stock team on display and stock material disposal.
  • Perform daily mopping and sweeping.
  • Stock, supply, and refill all paper products.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of employee kitchen areas, including cleaning/disinfecting surfaces and monitoring supplies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all bathroom facilities, including cleaning toilets and sink areas, replacing toilet paper, liquid soap, and other bathroom supplies, and reporting low inventory of bathroom supplies.
  • Complete spot cleaning of all window, doors, and glass surfaces.
  • Actively keep registers and fitting rooms well maintained and replenished with necessary supplies.
  • Maintain the stock room in an orderly and efficient manner, including back stock, new production, and call-off.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in cleaning services industry, preferred.
  • Ability to move or position objects in excess of 40 lbs. for short or long distances.
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Ability to position self to complete cleaning duties, at times repetitive motion is needed.
  • Ability to ascend/descend a ladder as well as a step stool.
  • Frequently required to operate machinery or use hand tools to support in cleaning the store.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems.
  • This role works in a store environment with exposure to loud noise, dirt and dust, odors and fumes, and hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.
