Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to join our team in the Tuscaloosa, AL area. The ideal candidate will have experience in blood bank and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high and moderate complexity testing with some supervision.
- Conduct laboratory support functions and maintain quality control and maintenance checks.
- Prepare and test new reagents or controls, and perform equipment and instrumentation maintenance.
- Comply with all policies, standards, and procedures, and maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
- MT/MLS (ASCP) certification preferred but not required.
- Blood bank experience is a plus.
- Bachelor of Science or Associate's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science.
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Salary commensurate with education and experience.
