Job Overview

Our team is known for its strategic approach, in-depth legal knowledge, and dedication to justice. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team, specializing in reckless driving and DUI defense.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and provide general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys.
  • Collaborate with clients and senior associates to move cases toward resolution efficiently.
  • Represent clients in court for reckless driving and DUI cases.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Develop case strategies and manage cases from inception to resolution.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and other legal representatives.
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to reckless driving and DUI.
Qualifications
  • A willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow our client base.
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys.
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Virginia.
  • No experience is necessary, but 1-3 years of experience in criminal defense preferable with a focus on reckless driving and DUI cases.
  • A strong understanding of State DUI and Traffic laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Compensation

$75,000 - $150,000 yearly
