We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at ProCare Therapy. Located near the vibrant community of Tracy, California, this position is within a highly supportive school district known for its collaborative environment and amazing staff and students.
Compensation: $60-$80 per hour, based on experience, with guaranteed hours of 35-40 per week.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as well as experience developing cognitive communication skills, including memory, attention, and problem-solving. The successful candidate will also be skilled in assisting students with swallowing challenges and providing alternative communication tools for non-verbal students.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and address a variety of speech disorders, including sound production, fluency, and voice issues.
- Enhance both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Develop cognitive communication skills, focusing on memory, attention, and problem-solving.
- Assist students with swallowing challenges.
- Provide non-verbal students with alternative communication tools, such as communication boards or speech-generating devices.
- Tackle voice-related issues like pitch, volume, and quality.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech and Communication Disorders.
- Previous experience working with children in school or educational settings is preferred.
- Possession of a valid CA SLP license (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply).
