Job Title: Nephrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with kidney-related medical problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients with kidney-related medical problems
  • Study normal kidney function, kidney problems, and the treatment of kidney problems and renal replacement therapy (dialysis and kidney transplantation)
  • Perform pre-transplant assessments in some patients or assist in referral for consideration of transplant surgery
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage any condition or disease that affects the kidney functions
Requirements:
  • Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional manner, remaining friendly and approachable, composed when dealing with sensitive situations or information, and organized and prepared at all times
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to clearly discuss conditions and treatments with patients in a way that they fully understand
  • Knowledgeable: Possess analytical skills, attention to detail, and an extensive understanding of medicine
  • Self-Motivation and Compassion: Treat patients and their families with compassion and understanding
  • Learning Continuation: Stay up to date with the latest updates/academia and medical advances
