Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in onboarding and training new kitchen staff.
  • Review and prepare menus in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and presented in an appealing manner, adhering to portion control standards.
  • Conduct taste tests to guarantee food quality and safety.
  • Inspect meal trays for visual appeal, temperature, and compliance with dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain an organized kitchen by ensuring that food supplies are adequately stocked and rotated.
  • Keep accurate records of food temperatures and inventory levels.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized recipes.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in catering for special events.
  • Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and adapt to changing assignments as needed.
  • Adhere to safety policies and utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.
  • Understand and apply Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in daily operations.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.56.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Food Handler's Certificate or ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A minimum of two years of culinary experience in a healthcare or similar environment.
