About the Role

Bryten Real Estate Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our property operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Complete all maintenance service requests, including basic repairs, HVAC, and other appliance maintenance, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Turnkey Operations: Assist with preparing vacant units for rent, performing various repairs, and accurately posting status of work orders.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Complete grounds work, including trash pickup, sweeping, pressure washing, and maintaining landscape.
  • Plumbing and HVAC: Assist with issues related to plumbing systems, including replacing faucets, toilets, and hot water tanks, and fixing garbage disposals, dishwashers, and washing machines.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safety standards within OSHA specifications and company guidelines, reporting any discrepancies immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or specialized vocational training.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in building and facility maintenance, preferably with a background in handyman work, home repairs, or commercial renovations.
  • Licensing and Certification: Licensing and trade certification in HVAC, Electrical Wiring, or Plumbing is highly desired.
  • Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, read and write in English at an intermediate level, and problem-solve and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask, with a strong level of accuracy and ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid Driver's License, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation, as well as a background and credit check, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification.
