Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Auditor with extensive experience and a keen attention to detail. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, formulating detailed audit strategies, and ensuring compliance with IT controls and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IT audit plans, including special project reviews and compliance testing.
  • Assess and document technology processes and internal controls relevant to the audit scope.
  • Lead risk assessments of IT infrastructure and evaluate operational processes.
  • Communicate identified risks to relevant stakeholders effectively.
  • Provide recommendations for process enhancements and control improvements.
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective actions in response to audit findings.
  • Prepare timely audit reports detailing weaknesses and recommendations for strengthening IT controls.
  • Promote best practices within the organization and the IT audit function.
  • Evaluate control environments in light of emerging technology trends.
  • Conduct IT/business risk assessments and develop testing plans.
  • Review and validate IT Sarbanes-Oxley controls and general IT controls.
  • Analyze control deficiencies and advocate for management's corrective actions.
  • Maintain and schedule control activities using governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Execute special projects and corporate initiatives related to IT auditing.
  • Support external IT auditors as required.

Required Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of SOX and ISO auditing standards and methodologies.
  • Internal Auditor certification or commitment to obtain.
  • Prior experience in IT auditing within publicly traded companies is preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with experience in instructional and educational content.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in managing projects and working independently.
  • Experience with GRC tool management is advantageous.
  • Ability to engage with subject-matter experts to gather relevant information.
  • Proficient in IT audit risk assessment techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relational database security concepts and enterprise network architecture.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Experience in process mapping and control identification.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Over 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a role focused on IT SOX auditing.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $74 to $83 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and additional employee assistance programs.
