Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Oncology Provider to join our team at Parkland Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing nurse procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, including nurse assessments, medical histories, and lab and diagnostic requests.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and protection.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Manage medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and seek assistance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain human care relationships, understanding the impact of illness and hospitalization on patients and families.
  • Manage self and resources effectively, acknowledging limits of experience and capability, and seeking resources and feedback as needed.
  • Incorporate teaching in delivery of care, focusing on health promotion and patient education.
  • Apply knowledge integration skills for patient populations served, providing age-specific care and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Provide administrative support for physicians and nurses, including scheduling, referrals, and patient room preparation.
Requirements
  • Licensure by State of NH as a Registered Nurse.
  • Graduate of an approved RN program.
  • Current AHA or ARC BCLS certification.
  • Experience in an MD office or oncology setting.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months' experience as an RN in Oncology.
  • Phlebotomy skills, with willingness to train.
