Position Summary:

This is an entry-level role, and while prior brewery experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

The role of Cellar & Production Assistant is crucial to our operations, serving as the foundation where concepts are transformed into tangible results. This position involves significant physical and intellectual effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all cellar-related tasks
  • Perform regular cleaning in place (CIP) and sanitation of fermentation vessels and brite tanks
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Execute daily quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes
  • Promptly report any issues to the Head Brewer
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of daily production orders
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the production area
  • Be a proactive and innovative team player dedicated to enhancing a quality-focused environment
  • Conduct basic laboratory analyses
  • Perform gravity and pH measurements
  • Manage dry hopping and the addition of secondary ingredients
  • Understand yeast cell counts and pitching processes
  • Keep accurate daily records and sample beer in progress
  • Foster a positive workplace through open communication and constructive feedback
  • Embrace and contribute to ongoing innovation and improvements
  • Support any additional tasks necessary for the successful operation of the brewery
  • Ensure a safe and secure working environment

In addition to the defined responsibilities, a variety of unpredictable tasks may arise daily. A successful Cellar & Production Assistant prioritizes team objectives over individual tasks and approaches all responsibilities with enthusiasm, diligence, and meticulous attention to detail.
