Job Summary

Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in a Primary Care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients' health status, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Patients' Health Status: Conduct comprehensive physical and neurological assessments, including physiological, functional, and psychosocial needs, to determine patients' health status.
  • Diagnose Medical Conditions: Analyze patient history, physical examination findings, and laboratory values to make preliminary diagnoses for review by the physician.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with the physician to develop treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and X-rays, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists as needed.
  • Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote health and wellness.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and other necessary records.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a Primary Care setting, preferably with a year in a Community Health Center or a Public Health Agency.
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas and DEA license.
  • Skills: Thorough knowledge of medical principles and practices, comprehensive understanding of clinical and surgical procedures, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
