About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer I to join our team at Medical Mutual. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of our assigned platforms, systems, and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes technical tasks, troubleshoots issues, and provides off-hours support as part of a rotation.
  • Learns assigned technology platforms through direct interaction with coworkers, approved training classes, and management-directed activities.
  • Documents system information and creates reports as directed by supervision.
  • Optimizes work performance through teamwork and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Responds to outages with appropriate levels of communication, time commitment, and problem-solving techniques to ensure high availability of host systems and related applications.
  • Communicates issues, delays, and outages to departmental management.
  • Assists with configuration management.
  • Participates in a rotational on-call schedule.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of enterprise host systems administration experience, host configuration management, and production support.
  • Experience working cooperatively and communicating effectively with management, colleagues, and end-users in a customer service-driven environment.
