About the Position:
This is a dynamic opportunity to join the San Diego Community College District as a Healthcare Professional - Patient Care Specialist. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to students requesting services from the Student Health Services Office.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct health screenings and testing measures for eligible students.
* Perform comprehensive health assessments and provide personalized health education.
* Interpret and reinforce healthcare instructions to promote student well-being.
* Provide first aid and emergency care to patients presenting for treatment.
* Collaborate with nurse practitioners and college physicians as needed.
* Administer medications and dispense over-the-counter medications safely.
* Conduct tuberculosis screening and administer other immunizations as required.
* Collect laboratory specimens through venipuncture and maintain public health standards for disease control.
* Assist in developing education and screening programs tailored to student needs.
* Gather and maintain accurate health data on students at admission and update necessary records.
* Advise individuals on their health problems and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Public Health Certificate from an accredited institution. Additionally, they should have full-time nursing experience and hold valid CPR certification for healthcare professionals. A valid California driver's license is also required. Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Commitment to Diversity All applicants must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.

Benefits and Working Conditions:
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The selected candidate is required to complete a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam prior to employment and have fingerprints taken by Live Scan. They must also present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Estimated Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
