Job Overview

McFarlane Mortuary is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mortuary Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for assisting with funeral services, cremation, and body preparation. Your duties will also include general office work and ensuring a professional appearance. A clean driving record and proof of insurance are required. This is an evening and weekend position, and on-the-job training will be provided. Premium pay is available for evening/weekend on-call transferring of deceased individuals to the funeral home.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a mortuary or funeral home setting is preferred. You must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment. A computer literate and able to learn all facets of the mortuary business.
