Role Purpose

The Batching Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating production activities related to batching. This position is responsible for managing the preparation and cooking of scheduled batches, adhering to established formulas and procedures to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production supervisor and batching lead to determine batch requirements for the shift.
  • Monitor raw materials to prevent contamination and ensure proper storage and identification.
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned batching areas, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Understand blending formulas and work independently.
  • Report any batching issues or safety concerns to the supervisor and lead.
  • Accurately document all production batching records and log sheets.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to address any batching equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
  • Set up equipment, including pumps, mixers, and piping.
  • Ensure products meet target specifications.
  • Execute other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or production environment.

Education: High School Diploma.
