About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of water-related projects, including industrial wastewater planning and design, permitting and design for industrial storm water management, and water resources planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment systems
  • Conduct treatability laboratory experiments, pilot scale testing, industrial field work
  • Participate in treatment plant operations and troubleshooting
  • Focusing on discharge impacts on receiving water studies
  • Support wastewater and stormwater permitting efforts
  • Assist senior staff with preparing proposals and reports
  • Monitor the construction phase of projects
  • Support stormwater management programs
  • Conduct sampling events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settings
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models
  • Assist senior staff with preparing proposals and technical reports, including compiling analytical data
  • Conduct travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.)
Requirements

  • Ability to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skills
  • Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) needed for access to some industrial facilities
Education and Experience
  • Successful candidates will have an ABET accredited engineering degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical fields
  • Advanced degrees a plus
  • EIT certification preferred
  • On track to take PE licensure exam or existing PE licensure a plus
