Job Overview
As a Project Specialist, you will be instrumental in executing assigned engineering projects, which encompass facility maintenance, renovations, and the replacement and installation of tools and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while meeting performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Management of Change (MOC) documentation.
  • Initiate and oversee assigned Plant Engineering projects.
  • Develop Project Proposals and Scope, and create vendor RFQs.
  • Navigate the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) process and related activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to fulfill project contract requirements.
  • Engage in Safety and Sustainability initiatives as necessary.
  • Identify critical challenges and make informed technical decisions to resolve issues.
  • Contact suppliers for pricing, specifications, and samples.
  • Monitor and report project progress to the management team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Create work instructions as needed.
  • Continuously assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work alongside the Manufacturing Excellence team to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Experience in a plastic manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a project management role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 3D model design using CAD/CAM software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related applications.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
