Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is pivotal in managing various Consolidation, Accounting, and Financial Reporting tasks. Responsibilities include developing work plans, generating reports, analyzing data and metrics, presenting insights, and providing administrative and project support. This position is distinct from the Associate role by showcasing subject matter expertise, accountability for intricate processes, and the capability to lead, mentor, and train others. It is a mid-level professional track role that provides training and ongoing education to foster a career in management and leadership within BAYADA Home Health Care.

LOCATION REQUIREMENT:

Qualified candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance once a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exemplify and communicate the core values of BAYADA Home Health Care and The BAYADA Way.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding the company’s organizational structure, financial health, and operational objectives.
  • Oversee changes in consolidated financial reports within Workday.
  • Prepare analyses and journal entries for Consolidated Financial Statements on a quarterly basis.
  • Generate external financial reports for banking partners and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing materials for Finance Committee Meetings and other external communications.
  • Design, implement, and manage controls over the consolidation and external financial reporting processes.
  • Establish and operate controls over the governance of company assets.
  • Facilitate the integration of new ventures and acquisitions into the company’s Consolidated Financial Statements.
  • Research, document, and communicate complex accounting issues arising from new ventures and acquisitions.
  • Conduct analyses and perform necessary procedures for purchase accounting, including journal entries to accurately reflect new ventures and acquisitions.
  • Support the diligence process for new ventures/acquisitions by gathering and providing requested deliverables.
  • Design, maintain, and execute processes for reporting on International Subsidiaries and Investments.
  • Analyze trends and identify potential financial reporting and cash flow risks within International Subsidiaries and Investments.
  • Build relationships with accounting personnel from International Subsidiaries and Investments.
  • Assist in designing and implementing new procedures for grant and donation processes.
  • Prepare analyses and reports regarding the receipt and utilization of donations and grants.
  • Support the completion of internal and external audits of financial information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates the core characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting; CPA, MBA, or CMA preferred.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in public accounting or a related industry.
  • Experience in healthcare and home care is advantageous.
  • Possesses strong project management skills, including the ability to facilitate and organize effectively.
  • Exhibits strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) applications, with the ability to learn various software applications necessary for job functions.
  • Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of US GAAP.
  • Ability to research complex accounting standards and apply them accurately to the company’s financial statements.
  • Ability to identify risks within the financial reporting process and design and implement effective controls.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving goals and exceeding performance standards.
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated, flexible, versatile, and creative.
  • Possesses problem-solving abilities and leadership skills, fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and processes effectively.
