Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face support to patients, ensuring they receive the necessary information and resources to navigate healthcare options.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, hospital staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Collect and review patient information to determine eligibility for various programs and services.
  • Prepare and review documents for accuracy and completeness, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospital staff, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience as a Patient Advocate or equivalent training and experience combined.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple databases, with a strong understanding of Medicaid programs and the Federal Marketplace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

The Patient Advocate will work in a hospital setting, with a regular schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT. The role may require occasional evening or weekend shifts, with a competitive hourly rate of $17.50 per hour based on experience.
