We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement and evaluate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff, ensuring effective use of resources and maintaining high standards of care.
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, ensuring a smooth transition through the care continuum.
- Offer education and support to patients and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Facilitate discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care and promoting continuity of care.
Requirements
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience in an acute care setting, preferably in neurology or critical care
Education and Certifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
