Job Summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Breast Health Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Breast Center, you will play a vital role in improving communication and care coordination for patients, referring physicians, and our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate timely patient care from suspicious finding through diagnosis, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among healthcare providers.
  • Enhance physician communication and provide timely updates on patient status and treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education and psychosocial support to patients with abnormal mammograms, biopsy patients, high-risk patients, and breast cancer survivors.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum two years of experience in nursing or Mammography Technologist, with a strong background in patient care and communication.
  • Current RN license in the state of Georgia or ARRT (M) - Mammography registered.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working with Breast Center patients and families, knowledge of EMR systems, and BLS certification.
