RN - Outpatient

University of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a skilled RN to join our team in the Outpatient Department.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our ambulatory setting. As a Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for staff, providing clinical mentorship, and serving as a role model. You will also provide full-range patient education to patients and family members, and assume relief charge duties when designated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.
• Provide clinical leadership for staff, including mentoring and coaching.
• Assume relief charge duties when designated.
• Provide full-range patient education to patients and family members.
• Document patient medical records, including medical history and chief complaint.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients.
• Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
• 3 years of directly related experience.
• Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.

Working Conditions:

Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
