Quality Surveyor Role

At Your Company Name, we are seeking a skilled Quality Surveyor to play a crucial part in ensuring that construction projects meet regulatory standards, client requirements, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Inspections:
Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of construction work, including structural integrity, adherence to specifications, and compliance with building codes and regulations.

Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures and procedures to monitor construction activities, identify defects or non-conformities, and ensure that work meets established quality standards and project requirements.

Measurement and Analysis:
Use surveying instruments, tools, and software to measure and analyze construction dimensions, levels, and alignments, and compare results against project plans and specifications.

Data Collection:
Collect and record data related to construction quality, including measurements, observations, photographs, and documentation of defects or deficiencies, using digital recording systems or paper-based forms.

Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and documentation of inspection findings, including descriptions of defects, recommended corrective actions, and compliance status, and distribute reports to project stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to address quality issues, resolve disputes, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to maintain project schedule and budget.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards relevant to construction projects, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.

Client Communication:
Communicate inspection findings, quality concerns, and project updates to clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, and address client inquiries or requests for information in a professional and timely manner.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings in quality control and assurance activities, and contribute to the development of best practices and quality standards within the organization.

Training and Development:
Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior surveyors and construction personnel on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; professional certification or licensure as a surveyor or quality inspector preferred.
