Cloud Solutions Architect

At Slalom, we're seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Cloud Solutions & Platform Engineering team in New York. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and automating cost-effective, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications. Your duties will include migration & modernization of existing workloads to public clouds, managing project risk, economics, and planning, as well as ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the growth of our Cloud Solutions/Platform Engineering practice & capabilities through organic business development, delivery, and thought leadership

• Manage project risk, economics, including planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, define project/engagement deliverables, and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions

• Work with teams to capture best practices and develop case studies and other core deliverables to build solution offerings for our clients

• Collaborate with other practice areas to develop collateral, including go-to-market offerings, marketing materials, and thought leadership based on key trends and use cases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• At least 10 years of experience in IT consulting, with at least 5 years of experience in cloud consulting

• Experience architecting and delivering cloud-based solutions in various industries

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with various cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud

• Proficient in cloud-native technologies, such as containers, microservices, serverless, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. This role base salary bands for this role are as follows: $160,000-247,500
