Industrial Electrician

The Press Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment in the press shop, including presses, transfers, automation, de-stackers, blanking lines, cranes, scrap conveyor controls, and electrical components installed in dies.

• Troubleshoot and program Siemens S5 and S7 PLCs, Beckhoff PC-based controls, and other PLC and control systems.
• Troubleshoot robot/robot controllers and perform teach-ins on new jobs as required.
• Troubleshoot servo drives and other drive controllers.
• Repair and maintain press shop equipment.
• Perform daily checks and preventative maintenance.
• Work on press shop projects as needed.

• Journeyman Electrician/Electronic degree from a recognized, accredited year college, or equivalent combination of education and experience or the completion of an electrical/electronic type apprenticeship program.
• Must be able to work with minimum to no supervision.

• Siemens Step5 and Step7 PLC programming certificate.
• Beckhoff TwinCat programming certificate.
• Pilz safety PLC training certificate.
• Fanuc training certificate.
