Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements, and maintains advanced software security protocols in alignment with established technical reference architecture.
  • Conducts continuous security assessments and code evaluations to enhance software integrity.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical issues as they arise.
  • Creates engineering designs for innovative software solutions aimed at reducing security risks.
  • Participates in all architectural levels and ensures the upkeep of technical documentation.
  • Advises team members on secure coding methodologies.
  • Stays updated with emerging tools and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer in projects of comparable scope and complexity is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
    • Alternatively, four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • One of the following certifications is necessary:
    • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
    • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
    • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
    • Elastic Certified Engineer
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) technologies that facilitate highly distributed, massively parallel computation, such as Hbase, Accumulo, and/or Big Table.

    • Demonstrated expertise in Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.

    • Familiarity with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).

    • Experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability solutions (e.g., Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook).

    • Background in designing and developing web applications utilizing JavaScript.

    • Experience in creating automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.

    • Knowledge of compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g., Hobbit, Ganglia).

    • In-depth understanding of Accumulo internals, including configuration, tuning, and testing in various setups (e.g., >200 node clusters).
