Job Description

This role involves providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on promoting independence, self-advocacy, and community integration. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and a strong understanding of individualized support planning.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Supporting individuals in community integration, including transportation, social activities, and vocational training.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other team members.
  • Implementing individualized support plans and monitoring progress towards personal goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional or in a similar field.
  • Completion of DDS Training phase 1 & 2.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • CMT certification is not mandatory but desirable.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $42,000 per year, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also receive ongoing training and support to ensure your success in this role.
