Objective Medical Assessment Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician with expertise in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to conduct thorough, objective medical assessments for veterans. This role is exclusively focused on independent medical evaluations and does not involve treatment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing comprehensive medical records, conducting in-depth evaluations, and completing accurate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure online portal. These assessments will significantly contribute to timely and accurate disability determinations by the VA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly review and analyze veterans' medical records via a secure web-based platform.
  • Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments of veterans to document their current health conditions.
  • Accurately complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
  • Ensure that all DBQs are submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
  • Assess up to four veterans daily, utilizing time management skills effectively.
Schedule and Location:

This position requires travel throughout WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, WY, CO, visiting multiple locations to conduct assessments.

Requirements:
  • Active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred, although candidates with completed residencies in relevant specialties will also be considered.
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
