Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Data Scientist to join our Customer Product team at Walmart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building ideal experiences for our members across their many needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes for payment success rate optimization.
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive disputes framework within the payment network ecosystem.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize payment logic algorithms to improve transaction success rates and reduce failures.
  • Conduct data analysis and A/B testing to identify opportunities for enhancing payment routing and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering, operations, legal, compliance, and business development teams to define product strategies and priorities.
  • Execute sizing, forecasting, and funnel conversion analysis to prioritize product feature launches.
  • Work with product and business teams to understand new product launches and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure performance.
  • Design and implement data pipelines and ETL jobs to create new data tables that can capture more refined parameters that can improve analytics and data science efficiency.
  • Build dashboards and self-serve tools to enable Product Managers and Business Leaders to track the performance of member acquisition, retention, benefits, and engagement metrics.
Requirements
  • Domain expertise in payment processing methods including card network, ACH, check, virtual cards, digital wallets, and international payments.
  • Deep understanding of payment network infrastructure, including transaction processing, authorization, and settlement.
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in analytics related field.
  • OR bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or related field and 5 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience analyzing clickstream web data using Hive SQL, Big query, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience analyzing customer transactional data using SQL.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
  • Experience using Excel, Python or R
