About the Role

BDR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Washington DC or Reston, VA. As an Information System Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of security plans and procedures for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - Ensure systems and users are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with DIA and DOD/IC security policies and practices.
  • Security Clearance Management - Develop tools to manage system users and ensure accurate security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know.
  • Incident Response - Monitor and report security-related incidents to DIA managers.
  • Security Research and Development - Research protective or corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered.
  • System Recovery - Develop system recovery processes and ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and operated.
  • Security Requirements - Ensure system security requirements are addressed during all phases of software development lifecycle.
  • Security Authorization - Follow procedures developed by ISSM, authorizing software, hardware, and firmware before implementation on the system.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree - In information technology, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • TS/SCI Clearance - Active Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
  • 10+ Years of Experience - In DIA Cyber and Security Front Door, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Approval to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Xacta Experience - Proven record of completing end-to-end RMF process, and obtaining ATO certificates for multiple systems.
  • DIA and DOD/IC Experience - 10+ years of demonstrated experience and knowledge of DIA, DOD/IC system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • CISSP Certification - Experience working within multi-tenant and cloud environments.
