Job Overview:


Shriners Children's stands as the leading medical center for pediatric burn treatment, orthopaedics, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties.

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to work from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (40 hours per week) in our Outpatient Clinic.


Responsibilities:


The Certified Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in patient management, including rooming patients, recording vital signs, preparing examination rooms, replenishing supplies, assisting physicians, collaborating with other departments, and maintaining documentation in the electronic medical record system.

The Medical Assistant operates under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:
Education

High School Diploma / GED required.

Certification/Licensure

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is mandatory.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment.

Experience

Preferred experience in an Outpatient Clinic, particularly in orthopaedics and casting.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
