About the Role

The Chicago Blackhawks Department of Performance Psychology is seeking a highly motivated individual to support programming development and delivery as well as assist in a high-priority research initiative. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with members of the Department of Performance Psychology and contribute to the growth and development of performance psychology services within professional sports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualization and execution of archival and qualitative research initiatives
  • Support for ongoing performance psychology projects/initiatives
  • Developing and presenting new performance psychology resources
  • Delivery of formal report of findings to hockey operations leadership

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Graduate level course experience in mental health or a mental performance related field
  • Qualitative research experience (familiar with diverse methodology and data analysis techniques)
  • Proven project-management skills and timeliness when working towards a deadline
  • Extensive interest in performance psychology topics, research, and literature
  • Proficiently utilize computers, software, and remote collaboration technology
  • Demonstrates sophisticated multicultural understanding (e.g. race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, national origin) of self in the context of others (e.g., biases, EQ)
  • Excellent ability to communicate, written-presentation-orally, within diverse groups and personnel
  • Outstanding awareness of maintaining appropriate boundaries and maintaining high levels of privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to address, adapt to, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated aptitude for driving results
  • High attention to detail
