Overview:


The Maintenance Technician is essential in ensuring that the property is kept in optimal condition at all times, minimizing disruptions for guests and staff.


Responsibilities:

Perform repairs on HVAC systems:
Change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment (e.g., boilers, chillers, electrical systems).
Take necessary readings on equipment.
Test cooling towers and document readings.
Replace and program televisions as required.
Change light switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures.
Carry out furniture repairs.
Replace and repair pumps.
Address plumbing issues (e.g., clogged drains, pipe repairs).
Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Trace and repair various water lines.
Troubleshoot and fix kitchen equipment.
Maintain records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
Paint designated areas as needed.
Repair and finish drywall.
Fix various wall coverings.
Repair and program electronic lock systems.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent and/or relevant experience in a hotel or similar environment is required.
At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
Trade school and/or college coursework in a related field is advantageous.
Flexibility and willingness to work long hours may be necessary.

Physical demands include exerting over 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or over 50 pounds frequently, and/or over 20 pounds regularly. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.

Must be adept at listening to, understanding, and addressing concerns raised by guests and employees.
Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines is crucial.
Approach all interactions with guests and staff in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
Attend all required meetings and training sessions.

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards, as dictated by scheduling needs.

Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and nametag.
Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maximize productivity efforts, identify areas for improvement, and assist in implementing solutions.
Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as necessary.

Cross-training in other hotel-related areas may be required.
