We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Technician to join our team at Emerus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, report, and document clinical data, including vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
- Assist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee as indicated by the patient's plan of care.
- Provide for superficial wound care and maintain patient safety related to age and condition.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
- Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures.
- High School Diploma or GED, required and completion of one of the following: Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience, EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), Licensed Paramedic (LP) course/program and one year of applicable experience, or completion of the first year of education and current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, required. PALS preferred.
- Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG, preferred.
