Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Total Care Therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform start of care and initial evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to clients, including assessment, treatment, and program planning, as well as related documentation and communication.
  • Travel to facilities or residential locations to complete patient evaluations and provide subsequent follow-up visits.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) as needed.
  • Identify indications for evaluations of clients at appropriate intervals under the direction of the Director of Therapy.
  • Conduct individual treatment sessions outlined in the treatment plan, focusing on areas such as activities of daily living, functional mobility, range of motion, strength, coordination, cognitive/perceptual remediation, and functional maintenance.
  • Maintain a weekly caseload of 27-32 visits (full-time) and utilize a universal electronic documentation system.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, supervisors, clients, family members, community personnel, and administration.
