Position: Golang Software Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Golang Software Engineer to contribute to our global Loyalty and Benefits platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a robust technical background, coupled with a keen desire to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance features within the Account domain of our modern microservices-based Loyalty and Benefits platform, R42.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers across the platform to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one backend type-safe programming language, preferably Golang, while being open to other relevant experiences.
  • Engage with backend microservice architecture and communication, specifically focusing on REST and asynchronous messaging services such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Work effectively within a Scrum framework, contributing to team efforts to deliver business functionalities and customer journeys that are thoroughly tested and automated throughout the CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in professional software development with a solid understanding of test-driven development, including unit, component, functional, system integration, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with software engineering methodologies such as Agile, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, Golang, Git, gRPC, Docker, and GraphQL is advantageous.
  • Experience with continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment (CD), and continuous testing (CT) using tools like Jenkins, Rally, or JIRA, along with version control systems like GIT or SVN.
