We are seeking an experienced Medication Aide to join our team at Liberty HomeCare. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medication as directed and performing various tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures manual, excluding injections, g-tube, nasogastic tubes, and IV medications.
- Perform vital signs, give enemas and suppositories, and other procedures as needed.
- Practice good leadership skills and maintain a safe and clean environment by following universal precaution and hazardous chemical procedures.
- Document and report any medication errors immediately.
- Count controlled substance medications, give/take reports, and follow proper sign-in, sign-off procedures when changing shifts.
- Registered on the NA1 registry with no allegations of abuse or neglect.
- Successfully complete the state-approved training program, including competency evaluation and facility orientation program.
- Ability to read, see, hear, and speak adequately to perform essential job responsibilities.
- Ability to crouch, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently during the workday.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis or at least 10 times per shift.
