This position is part of the Child and Youth Services program at US Army. As a Child and Youth Program Assistant, you will be responsible for providing care and support to children aged 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. Your duties will include planning, coordinating, and conducting activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of program participants. You will also establish a safe and engaging program environment, maintain participation data, and complete daily reports.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with children and adults, and be able to adapt to changing situations. If you are passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role
This is a flexible position with no guaranteed work hours and is not eligible for benefits. However, selectees from vacancy announcements will be eligible to receive a $500.00 Recruitment Incentive after completion of three months in the respective role. Regular Full Time and Regular Part Time selectees will also be eligible to receive a $500.00 On the spot award after completion of three months.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. For information on the qualification requirements for higher paying levels, please refer to our Applicant Information Kit.
