Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Attorney to join our in-house legal department at Accounting Career Consultants. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing legal expertise and support to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Corporate Attorney, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal advice and guidance on corporate matters, including contract review and negotiation, litigation management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of legal strategies to support business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks, and to develop and implement processes to improve legal operations.
  • Managing and coordinating with external counsel on various legal matters, including litigation, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing training and support to internal stakeholders on legal matters and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate or in-house setting.
  • Active bar membership in Missouri or ability to obtain reciprocal licensing.
  • Strong academic background with excellent research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and document management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications

We are also looking for candidates with:

  • Undergraduate degree in business (e.g., accounting, business administration, marketing).
  • Experience in or familiarity with manufacturing and private label industry.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property law, particularly trademark management.
  • Experience with e-discovery tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with legal operations concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.
