Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit card protocols as mandated by hotel standards.
  • Monitor room availability and manage daily house counts.
  • Review and act on credit limit exceptions as needed.
  • Check expected departures and manage checkouts or extensions beyond standard checkout times.
  • Update room status in coordination with housekeeping.
  • Reconcile departmental activities at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct cashier shift changes when cash balances are confirmed.
  • Inform guests about hotel promotions and amenities during check-in.
  • Highlight various hotel facilities such as complimentary breakfast, spa services, and fitness centers during guest interactions.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly, offering alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to guest service through hospitable and accommodating behavior.
  • Document any guest incidents by completing the necessary reports.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in hospitality is required.
  • Prior customer service experience is essential.
  • Experience with cash handling and credit card transactions is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  • Familiarity with hotel layout, amenities, and operational procedures is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the local area, including businesses, services, and community events, is advantageous.
