Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses and regain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans for patients.
  • Support patients in improving their ability to perform daily living and working tasks.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists to evaluate patient needs and create effective therapy plans.
  • Record patient progress, provide updates to supervising therapists, and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Adhere to facility guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
