Position Overview:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the management of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency codes and requests for urgent assistance.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer and evaluate responses to prescribed therapies in accordance with care protocols.
- Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient status effectively.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding respiratory health and available community resources.
- Review and enhance respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes and current best practices.

Education and Certification Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (mandatory).
- BLS certification from recognized organizations (AHA, Red Cross, etc.).
- State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT).
Additional Information:
- Critical thinking and effective communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
- Preferred credentials include National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
- Specific certifications may be required for specialized areas (e.g., NRP, PALS, ACLS).
Working Conditions:
- Physical demands include frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
- Exposure to various biological and environmental hazards.
