Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver professional nursing care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop strategies to address them.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress, report changes, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
- At least 12 months of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Oncology experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and management.
- Knowledge of cancer treatment options and supportive care services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve patient-centered care.
