Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GI Physician Specialist to join our team at VCU Health Tappahannock. As a key member of our Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, you will provide exceptional clinical care to patients with GI conditions, participate in research, and contribute to the education of future clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical services in gastroenterology clinics, including diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
• Participate in inpatient management of patients with GI conditions and attend on the Digestive Health Service.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the management of patients with GI conditions.
• Conduct research on health disparities, opioid abuse, and outcomes in inflammatory bowel disease to develop community-based implementation strategies.

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Proficient in diagnostic endoscopy.
• Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experience working in a diverse environment and commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
