Sanitation Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team at Sysco. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and guests.

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of facility office areas, guard shacks, and break rooms
• Perform all custodial duties, including dusting, sweeping, washing, wiping, scrubbing, shoveling, and mopping
• Collect and dispose of trash or debris on a daily basis
• Clean up spills in assigned areas
• Maintain floor coverings by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Remove litter, trash, or other property damaging elements
• Complete daily cleaning log to provide documentation for planning and evaluation of sanitation activities
• Clean restrooms as scheduled to maintain sanitary conditions
• Report any unfixable or unsafe issues to supervisor immediately
• Observe and enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year warehouse-related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and in small group settings

The work environment is primarily performed in an office environment, with some time spent outdoors and in the warehouse. The associate may be exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment, other mechanical equipment, and freezer/cooler warehouse environments.
