Position Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Educational Center Manager is tasked with overseeing the complete customer journey, sales initiatives, and local marketing efforts of the Center to meet performance objectives and enhance growth. This role also involves managing daily operations to ensure a consistent, high-quality educational experience for clients while maintaining cost efficiency. The Manager ensures that all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with established standards. Additionally, this position involves coaching and managing Center personnel and acting as the primary liaison for the Franchisee.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guarantees prompt and high-quality customer service responses to all inquiries, ensuring calls are addressed during operational hours.
  • Oversees the daily functioning of the Center.
  • Aims to meet financial targets related to sales and expenses.
  • Monitors and evaluates Center performance, including Profit and Loss metrics, revenue, expenses, and fee collection; suggests and implements strategies for performance enhancement.
  • Selects, trains, motivates, and assesses Center staff; conducts regular performance evaluations.
  • Reviews all corporate communications and ensures effective information flow to the Center's team.
  • Supports educators in maintaining effective instructional management.
  • Engages with clients throughout their journey, directing the sales and service process to ensure continued enrollment.
  • Promotes financing solutions that align with client needs and manages the application and closing procedures.
  • Directs marketing and sales initiatives to attract new enrollments.
  • Establishes and nurtures collaborative relationships with educators, educational specialists, and parent/teacher organizations.
  • Conducts visits to educational institutions to build and maintain partnerships for marketing purposes.
  • Ensures the Center's professional appearance aligns with established standards.
  • Ensures compliance with operational standards, particularly concerning student safety and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in customer service; retail sales experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications, including current social media tools.
  • Familiarity with general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and telephones.
  • Experience with social media platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of instructional technology and tablet devices is a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; a friendly, people-oriented approach is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize customer service and consultative sales techniques to foster relationships.
  • Proven sales capabilities with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience in supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Strong presentation skills for small group settings.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business metrics and financial documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong administrative skills, including word processing and data entry.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient written communication skills; capable of proofreading and editing documents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively; a strong team player.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.
